To be honest, I'm not in the slightest bit scared of flying... Crashing however scares the shit out of me! In my opinion, the safety of the pilot is pretty important. I mean, he's the guy who makes sure the plane stays in the air, right? So, lets stop bleating about terrorism threats and give the man the right tools for the job...

Furthermore, security measures should be implemented before the passenger, or 'would be terrorist' actually gets into the aircraft...

I would suggest only a complete search of the passengers body and clothing would suffice. Followed by a five mile run around the airport to ensure any passenger hyperactivity was adequately suppressed. Trials of my suggestions have already begun in Britain...

Coincedently, at Heathrow Airport today, an individual, later discovered to be a public school teacher, was arrested trying to board a flight whilst in possession of a compass, a protractor, and a graphical calculator. Authorities believe he is a member of the notorious Al-Gebra movement. He is being charged with carrying weapons of math instruction.
